FINANCIAL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

30 Hours Free Childcare

To claim the additional 15 hours in the Autumn term, parents need to have applied for an eligibility code from HMRC by 31st August. Any codes obtained after this date will not qualify for the additional hours until January. The website parents need to visit to apply for 30 hours free childcare is:- www.childcare-support.tax.service.gov.uk

Once parents have an eligibility code they must email it to the playgroup manager (manager@uleyplaygroup.co.uk), and reconfirm that their working position hasn’t changed every 3 months. If they do not reconfirm their codes on time they can fall out of eligibility and we will not be able to claim their extended funding.

Tax Free Childcare

If you are employed, you can arrange with your employer to take a set amount of money from your
pay each month, which can then be used against child-care costs. The benefit to you is that this
money is tax free. For every £8 a parent pays into a special online account, the government will pay
in another £2 tax-free, up to a maximum of £2,000 per year per child. Parents will be able to pay for
childcare directly from their childcare accounts if their childcare providers have signed up to the
service.

Emergency Assistance Grant Form

This fund is to supply emergency assistance for food and essential supplies to support vulnerable children, young people, working age adults, older people and their families. The application form is available on this website. It sets out the eligibility criteria and how to apply.

The Government provides funding for all children aged 3 and 4. This entitles your child to Nursery Education Funding that covers a total of 15 hours of funded sessions per week. This can be shared between settings and/or childminders.

Once your child is eligible for Nursery Education Funding, Uley Playgroup will give you a simple form to complete. Your child will be eligible for funding in the Autumn term if their 3rd birthday is before September 1st, in the Spring term if their birthday is before January 1st, or in the Summer term if their birthday is before April 1st.

From September 2017 some 3 and 4 year olds may be entitled to a further 15 hours of free childcare which can either be taken over 38 weeks (totalling 30 hours per week) or stretched over 50 weeks of the year.

If your child attends more than one setting the funding will be shared between the settings fairly. A top up fee to each setting may be necessary to cover the cost of sessions not covered by the funding. An invoice will be issued if this is the case.

Achieving 2 year Olds scheme

Funded free early years places are available for some two year old children from the term after their 2nd birthday.

To be eligible for this funding, the following criteria should be met by the parent:
